STAT is pleased to award scholarships to qualified members through a scholarship program designed to support attendance and participation in the annual Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching (CAST).

Last year year, for CAST Reimagined 2020, awardees received complimentary Individual Plus+ registrations to the event, which included full access during the live broadcast on November 5-7 and on-demand content through January 31, 2021.

Qualifications

To be eligible to receive a CAST scholarship, an applicant must:

  • Currently be a STAT member (membership to be verified)
  • Currently be a science teacher (teaching grades pre-K through 12) or a science administrator

Previous CAST scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply again.

Awardee Expectations and Agreements

CAST scholarship recipients must:

  • Attend a roundtable discussion session during the conference
  • Post about their experiences on STAT's social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) throughout the conference
  • Write a follow-up blog post/article/STAT365¬†thread to the conference for STAT publications
